Every year, the World Martial Arts Union (WoMAU) holds a World Martial Arts Festival in Chungju, South Korea. This event showcases the strength and finesse of various martial arts forms around the world.
The aim of WoMAU in organizing the World Martial Arts Festival is to elevate the recognition of traditional martial arts as a part of world culture.
WoMAU was established on October, 2002 in Chunju, South Korea with 28 countries participating on the first event.
Martial arts such as Taekwondo from South Korea, Bokator from the Kingdom of Cambodia, Kung Fu from China, Arnis from Philippines and many more were recognized throughout this event.
The World Martial Arts Union aims to promote exchange and cooperation between martial arts organizations, promotion and conservation of each country’s traditional martial arts, research and study of martial arts and contribute positively to world peace.
